Racing
fans may remember Cool Ground, one of my horses, who in 1992
won the Cheltenham Gold Cup (the previous year he ran fourth
behind Desert Orchid). In 1990 he won the Welsh Grand National
and has many other wins and places in top-class National Hunt
racing to his credit. In 2002 "Jack" will be twenty years
old; he is still very fit and well and enjoying a well desereved
retirement.
One of his stable mates is big Frank. Frank is a Suffolk Punch,
which is now the rarest breed of horse in the British Isles.
Hopefully Frank will be seen around the village during spring
and summer, pulling a dray to and from the Coach and Horses..
. But more of that later.
