Lubenham
CC held their annual presentation evening at the Coach & Horses
Pub in the village. It was attended by the majority of the
team and every one that was there had a wonderful time, in
fact so much so that we have booked to have our club's Christmas
party there as well.
Before the presentations took place our skipper (Steve Carter)
was asked to say a few words about the season. He seemed quiet
pleased with the team's performance and hoped that we could
carry on improving next season. Club Chairman Adam Marshall
gave out the awards ably assisted by the Coach & Horses Landlord
Jeff Sykes.
The
winner of the best batting Average 2001 went to Robin Page
for the second year running.
Winner of the best bowling average went to our skipper Steve
Carter.
Clubman of the year as voted for by every member of the club
this year went to Greg Hensman.
Moving
on to our not so glamorous awards!!
Our Chairman Adam Marshall was awarded the toilet seat for
having the lowest batting average of the season!
The giant dummy was awarded to the person that through the
biggest wobbly during a game (spat the dummy out the pram
) It was again voted for by all members of the club and there
were only 2 nominees but the winner had to be Joff Brown!
As there where only the 2 nominees for the dummy award it
was decided that we should have a runner up Saun Coe!
The Golden Quacker goes to the person with the most ducks
in a season and this year it went to Caan Moffatt!
